How we make money
ComparePlants is free to use, and we plan to keep it that way. Here's how we cover our costs — and the lines we won't cross.
Featured Nursery sponsorships
Independent UK nurseries can pay a small monthly fee to be a Featured Nursery on ComparePlants. That gets them a logo, a profile page, and rotation through a small number of clearly marked slots across the site.
Featured placements are always labelled. They do not change the order of price comparisons, do not influence what appears in search results, and do not give the sponsor any say over our editorial.
If you see a Featuredlabel, money has changed hands. If you don't, it hasn't.
Affiliate commissions
When you click through to certain retailers and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same either way. We earn the same regardless of which retailer you choose, so we have no incentive to nudge you towards one over another.
What we don't do
- We don't run third-party ads.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't try to.
- We don't take money to rank retailers higher. Every comparison table is sorted by price.
- We don't include every UK nursery — only the ones we've indexed.
