What we use, and when

We use cookies and similar storage for:

Necessary— making the site work. Always on.
Analytics— Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. These run only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Until you accept, the analytics scripts are not loaded at all — they are not in the page, so they set nothing. If you reject them, they stay unloaded.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser.

What each one stores

Google and Microsoft may set further cookies of their own under these services and may change the names above. Their own policies govern that: Google and Microsoft.

Retailer sites are not us

When you click through to a retailer, you leave ComparePlants. That retailer, and the affiliate network the link runs through, set their own cookies under their own policies. We cannot accept or reject those on your behalf.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you delete cookies and site data, block them, or be asked before one is set — look for “Privacy” in its settings. Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all clear localStorage as part of clearing site data. Private or incognito windows discard both when you close them.
