How to submit a notice

Send your notice to: [email protected]

To help us act on your notice without delay, please include:

1. Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
2. If you are acting on behalf of a rights holder, the name of the rights holder and confirmation of your authority to act on their behalf.
3. The full URL(s) on www.compareplants.uk where the material in question appears.
4. A description of the work or rights you believe have been infringed — for example, the original work and a source URL where it can be verified.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
7. Your electronic or physical signature.

What we will do

On receiving a complete notice, we will:

• Acknowledge receipt within 2 working days.
• Investigate the claim.
• If we conclude the notice is valid, remove or disable access to the material within 5 working days of receipt.
• Confirm in writing once we have acted.

We may contact you for clarification if the notice is incomplete or if we have a good-faith question about the claim.

Counter-notice

If you are a third party affected by a takedown — for example, a retailer whose product listing has been removed in error — you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. We will act on counter-notices using the same process and timeline.

Misuse

Submitting a notice in bad faith, or making materially false statements in a notice, may expose you to liability under UK law. We retain copies of all notices received and may make them available to affected third parties or to a court.
